We agree with Benjamin Franklin’s wisdom and believe that collaboration and ongoing research are key. By working together and staying informed, we can grow—not only as a business, but in helping you improve your fields and yields.
The compost tea is currently being tested in both milo and sugar beets to evaluate its effectiveness and potential benefits for crop health and yield.
Our compost is also being used in ongoing trials, and we’re continuously working to improve its formulation for better soil health and crop performance.
We’re actively testing nitrogen stabilizers on different crops and at various application timings throughout the season to maximize efficiency and reduce nutrient loss.
Bio Ag Solutions was proud to take part in the 2024 UNL-TAPS Competition, where we grew 278.1 bu/ac corn using just 81 lbs of commercial nitrogen. One key takeaway: pairing nitrogen with a carbon source like molasses, corn steep, fish hydrolysate, or humic acid significantly boosts nitrogen efficiency and reduces salt stress on the soil. We hit a .28 nitrogen use efficiency, all on a budget similar to standard commercial programs. Anytime you apply nitrogen — whether by planter, sprayer, sidedress, Y-drop, or fertigation — add carbon. It keeps your C:N ratio up, feeds microbes, and improves long-term soil health.
Whether you’ve got an idea for a field trial, want to explore new practices, or just have a question that needs digging into, let’s work together.
